Hello
Current pandemic COVID-19 has brought a huge impact on our everyday life... I do hope that you would be there safe and sound, and... let's 'keep calm, stay safe and carry on - together! -' In the meantime, I will keep on making and looking forward to seeing you & shipping items to you... again soon!
This flower names YAMABUKI in Japan, and the colour of Gourd and Horse! Here in UK, spring is approaching, and flowers and buds are coming up more and more around us. Everything cannot stay in the same place, so things will eventually end and begin to flow.
In the meantime, please take a look our Instagram [@gourdandhorse] for news & update

2019 The International Orchid Show at The Royal Three Counties Show, Malvern
14th-16th June 2019
We were delighted to return to the Royal Three Counties Show! Thanks to everyone, who made this amazing event.
For this year, we had an extention of stand for display & sale of Vanda (former, Neofinetia) falcata, which are grown in Japan, Korea and China.
In Japan, these little scented gems are called as "Furan (風蘭 means 'Wind orchid')" and some of them, which have been especially admired in terms of rarity (such as the colour of root end, variegation, shape of flowers, leaves and stock, etc.) tend to be registered and called as "Fukiran (富貴蘭 means ‘Rich and noble orchid’)" Collecting various “Fukiran” became a noble hobby and widely spread amongst people in the high rank since 17th century. The art of display has been truly unique by placing an orchid stock on the top of sphagnum moss ball in three legged pots. The harmony of orchid and plant pot is a subject to admire. This specific way of enjoying Wind orchid is still very popular by orchid enthusiasts over the world.
Friday 14th June to Sunday 16th June 2019, 8am until 6pm. Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR13 6NW. Tickets at www.royalthreecounties.co.uk
